Family Portrait

Harley's little friend, Kylie, stayed with us last week. I took a bunch of pictures of them cause they're so damn cute. This one is my favorite! It looks like they were taking a family portrait or something. I laugh every time I look at it. It just kills me!

I'm currently reading The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. I'm enjoying the book so far. The main character, Holden, is realy sarcastic and things get on his nerves a lot. Kinda reminds me of myself. hehe.

Update: Finished the book. I was surprised at how much I liked this book. It's not suposed to be funny, but it made me laugh because I could totally relate to some of the stuff Holden says in the book. There are some great quotes that cracked me up! (see below)

"What really knocks me out is a book, when you're all done reading it, you wished the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it."
Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye in Chapter 3

That's a quote from the book, though after doing some reading about Salinger, I don't think I would care for him much in person, but the old boy sure can write. I look forward to reading more of his books.

Some Of My Favorite Quotes From The Catcher in the Rye:

"Sensitive. That killed me. That guy Morrow was about as sensitive as a toilet seat." Holden Caulfield in Chapter 8

"I think if you don't really like a girl, you shouldn't horse around with her at all, and if you do like her, then you're supposed to like her face, and if you like her face, you ought to be careful about doing crumby stuff to it, like squirting water all over it. It's really too bad that so much crumby stuff is a lot of fun sometimes. " Holden Caulfield in Chapter 9

"I'm always saying "Glad to've met you" to somebody I'm not at all glad I met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff, though. " Holden Caulfield in Chapter 12

"Certain things they should stay the way they are. You ought to be able to stick them in one of those big glass cases and just leave them alone. I know that's impossible, but it's too bad anyway." Holden Caulfield Chapter 16

"If a girl looks swell when she meets you, who gives a damn if she's late? Nobody." Holden Caulfield in Chapter 17
